Service Description

**This is an add on therapy that can be scheduled in conjunction with any follow up bodywork session. This cross-cultural healing modality has many amazing healing benefits. Carefully selected organic herbs are steeped in warm water in a large pot to create a medicinal steam. The person receiving this treatment sits upon this steam, while fully covered with a robe and warm blanket to trap the steam and allow it to reach the vagina and pelvis. Typically, I will guide you through a meditation, but you can also choose to sit in silence and meditate if that feels more aligned. The steam lasts for 20-30 minutes. Benefits of this practice include: -Allowing for flow of blood, lymph, nerves, and energy -Relaxation of pelvic muscles, ligaments, glands -Aids in hormonal balance -Aids in postpartum healing (note - this therapy is practiced after postpartum bleeding has ceased) -Supportive for menopause -Helps in regulation menses -Aids in fertility -Heals scar tissue and adhesions -Supportive for endometriosis -Supportive for hemorrhoids -Helps heal infections -Supportive for uterine prolapse -Supportive for healing fibroids, cysts, and polyps -Supportive for working through stored emotions -Supportive in working with sexual trauma -Aids in sexual intimacy challenges -Allows us to remember and connect with our innate divinity <3 There are a few instances where this therapy would be contraindicated or would need modification. These are as follows: -Pregnancy -Unhealed surgical scar -Actively bleeding (menses, postpartum, and hemorrhage) -IUD (timing and heat can be adjusted for those with IUDs) -In labor *If trying to conceive, the steam should only be done immediately after menses has stopped, and before ovulation.
